The most awesome challenge week group

Our Values

As students of SJI International, we have our school values as our main set of values. We carry with us the SMILES values wherever we are.

Our Own take of the SMILES value

Spirituality
Mutual Respect
Internationalism
Leadership
Experience
Service

Spirituality. As Lasalle educated students, we believe that above all we are doing the challenge week for the good of a lot of people. It is not about us but it is about being men for others as how we have been taught.

Mutual Respect. Wherever we are, whoever we meet, whatever we do, we always always always have mutual respect to others. Not the lip service kind of mutual respect but we believe that we need to genuinely respect others as how others respect us.

Internationalism. 6 members of 5 different nationality supervised by teachers from 2 different nationality going to a country completely foreign to us. What more can be said about it?

Leadership. We are the leaders of ourselves. We lead ourselves. The responsibility of being a leader is not taken by only 1 or 2 members of our group, but everyone is a leader. Leadership is one of the most if not the most important thing that will affect our whole challenge week.

Experience. Challenge week is all about the experience. The experience of being out of comfort zone even during the planning period. The experience of working with so many different people and the experience of doing so many different things. It’s all about experience.. experience.. experience..

Service. This is the core element of our trip and through our service, we want to make life better.

OUR OWN VALUES

1. SAFETY and SECURITY. Regardless of what we are doing and wherever we go, safety is our number one priority.

2. CHALLENGE OURSELVES. We the Hebat are determined to challenge ourselves and push ourselves out of comfort zone. We feel that there is no point of doing challenge week if we are not challenging ourselves. We want the experience from challenge week to really help us in the future. We are not on a vacation but we are challenging ourselves.

3. COMMITMENT. We pledge that we will be committed in everything we do especially when it is about service.

4. MATURITY. We are fully grown up adults capable of thinking, acting and behaving as adults.

5. PROFESSIONALISM. We will stay professional whenever we are dealing with the service homes and other legal stuffs.
